Kate Mancarella (Marcotte)–Head Trainer

Kate has more than 25 years of experience riding and training horses. Growing up as a hunter/jumper, Kate has extensive experience on the “A” circuit as well as in Pony Club. As a junior, Kate competed up and down the east coast, starting in the pony hunters and moving up to the junior jumpers. She competed in numerous national finals including Pony Jumper and Children’s Jumper finals and Pony Finals. Kate even tied for gold in the individual competition of the Junior Olympics. A bad fall and subsequent back injury ended Kate’s junior showing career prematurely. Thankfully, after a two year hiatus, Kate re-started her show career as an amateur. While moving to various states for work, Kate began dabbling in teaching and discovered not only did she enjoy it, but students were enjoying lessons, their horses were progressing, and Kate started picking up more clients by word of mouth. Now Kate is known for instilling principles of riding in her students and teaching theories that not only create good riders, but solid horsemen and horsewomen.
